Course content
Using MS Windows, useful files and directories. Windows versions and editions, Windows kernel. Windows configuration with GUI tools. Managing users, processes, network, devices. Windows Registery Database. Command Line in Windows, basic commands. Security problems in various operating systems, with focus on Windows. Malware, anti-malware software, updates role. Licencing. GNU Project, GNU/GPL and other open-source licences, EULA, CC. Using Linux, configuration with GUI tools. Unix systems principles. Users, processes, file systems, devices configuration. Linux distributions, software installation. Command shells in Linux, basic commands.
