Key learning outcomes The degree programme focuses on the training of professionals with a scientific approach to the solution of both theoretical and practical issues of Corporate Economics and Management in all basic functional areas of the enterprise. Part of doctoral studies is the deepening of the knowledge of the system use of quantitative methods of economic analysis, general economics, modern research methods, strategic and human resource management, marketing, innovation management, corporate finance, the role of banks and financial markets in the financing of enterprises, accounting and taxation, information and communication systems in entrepreneurship. The degree programme is designed as a comprehensive summary of professional disciplines that perceive the enterprise as a whole, including all critical business functions. The same emphasis as on the theory is put on the adoption of research methods aimed in particular at entrepreneurship and management, and publishing the results of the practical research activities completed by elaborating the dissertation. The degree programme expands on the scientific-research activity developed by specialized departments of the School of Business Administration in Karvina in the context of research objectives and solved projects as well as the same field of the Bachelor's and Master's degree levels. Studies are concluded by a state doctoral examination and defense of the dissertation.
